Trey Evans, President & CEO

Trey cofounded Mitigation Management in 2010 and Mitigation Resource Group in 2007.  He assembled his first mitigation site in 2006, in connection with the development of the Kia Motors manufacturing plant in West Point, Ga. Trey's activities in the mitigation companies include targeting new land acquisitions, creating joint ventures, overseeing the approval and implementation of mitigation projects, and managing the financial aspects of the business.  He received a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia in 2004 and is Level II Rosgen Certified.  Trey also acts as a board member of the Georgia Environmental Restoration Association (GERA) and the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL).

Matt Peevy, Chief Sales Officer

Matt co-founded Mitigation Management in 2010 and Mitigation Resource Group in 2007.  Matt has over 10 years of experience in Real Estate Acquisitions for Mitigation Banks and Residential Development. Matt's activities in the mitigation companies include credit sales, land acquisitions, and creating joint ventures.  He received a BS in Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2004 and is Level I Rosgen Certified.  Matt also acts as a board member of the Georgia Environmental Restoration Association (GERA) and former board member of the National Mitigation Banking Association (NMBA).

Matt Hughes, Director of Services

Matt is an environmental scientist specializing in aquatic resources with a B.S. in Environmental Science from Mercer University.  Matt has over five years of professional experience in the consulting industry including state and federal permitting, stream and wetland restoration projects, and mitigation banking.  Other areas of expertise for Matt include macroinvertebrate and fish community sampling, amphibian studies, Jurisdictional Water's Determinations, Rosgen-based geomorphological stream surveys, stream design, and nuisance animal control. Matt is also a Certified Erosion Control Specialist (Level 1A), Certified Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor in Georgia, and a member of the Georgia Environmental Restoration Association (GERA).

Sean Miller, (CERP) Head Environmental Scientist

Sean is a trained aquatic biologist. He earned an B.S. in Environmental Science from Georgia College & State University, and his M.S. in biology from Georgia College and State University. He has ten years of experience with aquatic resources assessments, surveys, and restoration in the Southeastern United States. This has included macroinvertebrate and fish community assessments, T&E surveys, Jurisdictional Water's Determinations, geomorphological surveys, and stream design. Sean has completed all four levels of Dr. Dave Rosgen's Natural Channel Design courses. Sean also holds a Federal collection permit for several species of Georgia threatened and endangered fish species.  Finally, Sean is the only Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) in Georgia, and one of only twelve in the Southeast.

Ethan Roberson, Environmental Scientist

Ethan is an environmental scientist with a background in aquatic biology. He has earned a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Georgia College & State University resulting in published work on the Oconee Burrowing Crayfish, Cambarus truncatus, in Freshwater Crayfish. He has over one year of experience conducting wetland delineations and assessing aquatic resources, including macroinvertebrate and fish community sampling, Jurisdictional Water’s Determinations and T&E Surveys.

Thad Padgett, Director of Operations

Thad is responsible for daily operations, fiscal management and company efficiency. Thad has a proven, diverse track record with over seven years of management in both a large corporation and in small business. Thad received his BBA from Shorter College in Rome, GA where he was also a member of Shorter’s inaugural football team. When Thad is not working, you will find him spending time with his wife Beth and his sons Brady and Thatcher. Thad is also a passionate outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and gardening.

Beau Walters, Geospatial Analyst

Beau gained his experience as the primary Geospatial Analyst from earning his B.S. in Environmental Spatial Analysis from the University of North Georgia and M.S. in Geographic Information Science and Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of geospatial solutions to solve environmental problems and maximize efficiency. Beau performs various Remote Sensing tasks utilizing satellite imagery, aerial photography and LiDAR. He earned his FAA sUAS Certificate and serves as the company’s chief drone pilot conducting aerial photogrammetric surveys and strategic marketing practices.

Angel Fowler, (TN-QHP) Senior Environmental Scientist 

Angel received her M.S. in Biology from Austin Peay State University with a concentration in aquatic macroinvertebrate ecology and taxonomy. Her previous professional experience involves wetland and stream delineations and assessments, biological monitoring, 401/404 permitting, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and surveys, as well as mitigation site development and monitoring. Angel is a Qualified Hydrologic Professional in Tennessee and holds a Section 10(a)1(A) recovery permit for the Nashville crayfish, including several fish in Alabama. She is also an acting board member and instructor for Wetland Environmental Learning Projects (WELP) and co-creator of Earthwhile Collective. In her spare time Angel enjoys crafting, backyard gardening, exploring, and treasure hunting.
